As a small boy I remember the preachers in church announce, “Jesus is coming!” This is not heard as much today. “For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (2 Peter 3:34). Terrorists blew up New York’s twin towers, rogue nations exist developing and having nuclear bombs. New diseases like SARS, Ebola and HIV are destroying generations. Genocide, volcanoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes like never before recorded are increasing. Jesus’ coming should excite us—not disturb us! I want all my family and friends ready. I want everyone in the world to have a chance to know how much God loves them. However, I know that only a move of God’s Holy Spirit can bring life into what we do.
The average Russian males die by the age 59 mostly as a result of alcohol and tobacco. Most female orphans are single mothers and/or prostitutes. Nearly 100 million of Russia’s 150 million live in rural areas like isolated Siberian mountain villages. Gary Wilkerson from World Challenge states, “Once our faith is engaged—once we’ve waited on God and He has stirred our faith—He calls us to action.” Like Ezekiel who prophesied, prayed and saw life come to the dry bones, only God can breathe life into my vision—to go to Siberia to tell people of God’s love before He returns! Join with me in prayer and any other support you can provide. I plan to make continued visits to Russia. My needs are first prayer (without ceasing) and finances. Future trips, locations, and objectives will be provided as they develop.
